Happy Birthday, Gary


Today is my hubby Gary's birthday.  The only appropriate card for him would have to be about golf since he is an avid golfer.  In fact, we're playing twice today!  I CASE'd his card from an old tutorial from Michelle Zindorf.  I made a couple of substitutions since she used a retired texture plate and a retired color but I think it still turned out great.  CLICK HERE to go to Michelle's tutorial.

You're Just My Cup of Tea

One of my long-time stampers is leaving The Villages to move back north closer to family.  She's part of a group that has been meeting together for a stamp class for a number of years.  This is a very close-knit group and I've been honored to be a part of them.  So a simple good-bye just wouldn't do.  Another member of the group hosted a tea in her honor yesterday.  Here's the card I made for her to wish her the best in this next chapter of her life.  I used the Label Pop 'n Cuts die for an extra special card.

Pinterest CASE

 
 
I first saw this card on Pinterest and loved it.  It was created by demo Sarah-Jane Kale.  I had plans to use this for one of my upcoming card classes.  But the pieces for this card just sat in a bin on the shelf after I decided to discontinue my classes.  I was pleased to receive an online order from one of my customers even after my announcement.  So to thank her I got the pieces out and finished the card.  It's a little bulky so it needed to go into a padded envelope.  Might as well throw in a roll of retired ribbon since I had room!  And she had earned a Stamp It Sweet reward gift certificate that I mailed as well. 
 
It's still fun to be a demonstrator and spoil my customers even though I don't see them at class.  Thank you to this very special customer!
