Owl Builder Punch for Harry Potter card

A friend of mine had her granddaughter visiting last week and they went to Universal to experience the Harry Potter attractions.  Her granddaughter is a big Harry Potter fan and also very creative.  So I invited her over to make a Harry Potter card.  I saw the idea of using the Owl Builder Punch for such a card on Pinterest and went with that.

She ended up playing with some of my other tools and paper and created something entirely on her own but I thought I would still show you the card I made.

I used the Owl Builder Punch and the 1/2" Circle Punch for the owl but just hand cut the cape and the Hogwarts pennant.  I used the Layering Circles framelits to create a background for the owl.  The embossed background is from the retired Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  I used scrap pieces to create the strip that resembles Harry's scarf.

Online Retired Products Sale

It's time for me to clear out more retired products.  But this time I'm trying something new.  When I have the sale in my home it leaves out people that are not local to The Villages or have other commitments on that day.  So this sale is completely online.  I've created a separate blog that lists everything I have for sale with pictures and prices.

You can also get there by clicking on the link above in the header.  The best way to claim the products that you would like is to email me at stampitsweet@gmail.com.  That way I can take requests in the order they were submitted.

If you are local you may pick up your items and pay by cash or check.  If you are not local I'll determine the best way to ship your items and you can pay with PayPal.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Swirly Scribbles Meets Mickey

This is such a fun card, and so easy!

A couple of weeks ago I was invited by a friend to spend three days at Disney World with her.  I had so much fun.  We laughed, we screamed, we ate, we got wet!  This is the card that I sent to her to thank her for such a great time.

The Swirly Scribbles thinlits are perfect for the "Mickey" on the front of the card.  I used a traditional black, red and white color scheme and added the important polka dots!

The perfect greeting for inside the card comes from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set.  I truly was smiling as I wrote in this card to thank her.

Thanks again, Laurie!  Let me know when you're ready to go again.
